So, why exactly should you volunteer for MEVO? There are the traditional reasons: saving the environment, being a good community member, and they are all good ones. But the most important one, personally, would be that the item Summer Crew Member Kyle Van Dyke is holding would still be in the forests near our towns. That item is plastic, which never bio-degrades, which fills the stomachs of the animals and birds who eat it, and which eventually cycles into the food, soil, and bodies of our local communities.
