In our continuing tribute to MEVO’s Awesome Summer of 2013, we take special pause to remember MEVO’s Farm Crew’s field trip to Glynwood Farm, a commercial organic farm in Cold Spring, New York. Over there Farm Crew volunteered, learned about organic farming, and helped provide pest control. Here we can see Farm Crew Leader Lori Dargis, helping set up trellises for tomato plants, in a baking 90 degree sun.
Hopefully MEVO will be able to have a farm just like Glynwood’s in the future. Until then, we’ll keep on taking field trips, learning from the best in the field.
