Out of all days MEVO’s Farm Crew spent during Summer 2013, one in particular stands out: the Day of the Mushroom. On that day, Farm Crew learned about mushroom farming and growing their own mushrooms on logs at MEVO contributor Janna Makaeva’s garage. And in the photo you can see our learning in action as Farm Crew member Brittany Cronin, drills holes onto a log for mushroom inoculation. These holes were meant to put in plugs with mushroom spawn, specifically shitake mushrooms.
Yes, the Day of the Mushroom was a great day indeed for Summer 2013.
