Stuff MEVO Interns Do: Pose Behind Beehive Boxes

Take it in! This is the MEVO Farm Crew of 2013, sitting back and enjoying several beehives they managed to receive from Cropsey Community Farm for the MEVO Apiary this Summer 2014. Other fun things the crew did were: visiting organic farms and the permaculture site of the Eastern Light Project, learning how to manage beehives, growing about 200 pounds worth of potatoes, kale, and fresh vegetables over the summer, and many other things.

And what will the next MEVO Farm and Earth Crew do next summer? Work on MEVO’s 1-acre educational farm? Keep bees at our bee apiary? Understand how to create change in the world and be leaders? All of the above, and more.

So if you’re interested in farming, the environment, and making the world a better place, come to MEVO this summer. We need all the help we can get.
